A refreshing shower/bath
A refreshing shower/bath will cleanse your skin and gives a fresh and clean feeling which will help relieve any muscle pain and also helps clear your mind of thousands of thoughts from during the day. Try to find a soothing and moisturising shower gel. It is also important to follow a nighttime skincare routine. But try to keep it short, as longer routines will not work in days your extremely tired. And maintain a set of clean clothing specific for nighttime.

Tea or Warm Beverage

Read or Listen to some soothing music
If you still awake, try reading a book or listen to some soothing music. And if you watching TV, try to watch it at least one hour before sleep. You also want to try and simply keep your lights as dim as possible, so investing in dimmer switches is a good idea in the long run. If your reading, use a book reading light.
Meditate/Pray/Gratitude
If your mind is still busy and struggling to calm down after you get to bed focus on your breath for few minutes and try to avoid any other thoughts or feelings. Being grateful for making it throughout the day is also a great practice to keep.
Aim to make sure your bedroom is very dark as light can penetrate your eyelids. You can use a sleep mask to avoid disrupting your melatonin production and circadian rhythm.
